Cybersecurity Job Openings Soar 14% as Bengaluru Emerges as India's Top Tech Hub
Mumbai: A new report from global job site Indeed reveals a significant surge in cybersecurity job postings, with a 14% increase over the past year, driven by the growing focus on data safety. This trend highlights the escalating demand for cybersecurity professionals as businesses prioritize online security.
According to Sashi Kumar, Indeed India Head of Sales, "As our lives move online, companies are increasingly committed to safeguarding data, creating a wealth of opportunities in this fast-growing field."
Bengaluru has established itself as the frontrunner in cybersecurity job openings, accounting for nearly 10% of listings nationwide. Following closely are Delhi-NCR with 4%, remote opportunities at 2.2%, Hyderabad at 2%, and Mumbai at 2%.
Bengaluru's status as India's premier tech hub, home to numerous IT companies and startups, is a key factor in its dominance. As digital operations expand, businesses in the city are intensifying their focus on cybersecurity, fueling the demand for skilled professionals.
