Attention Firefox Users: Protect Your Device from High-Risk Threats!

Important Alert for Mozilla Firefox Users

India's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a security warning about significant vulnerabilities in Mozilla Firefox and related software. These issues could allow hackers to exploit systems remotely, making it crucial for users to take action immediately.

What’s Affected?

Mozilla Firefox: Versions before 131

Thunderbird: Versions earlier than 128.3 and 131

Firefox ESR: Versions before 128.3 and 115.16

These vulnerabilities could let malicious websites bypass security measures, putting your data at risk. Attackers might also trick users with deceptive downloads or manipulate them into clicking harmful links.

What Should You Do?

To protect yourself, update your browser and email client right away. Here’s how:

1. Open the menu in Firefox or Thunderbird.

2. Go to the 'Help' section.

3. Click on 'About Firefox' or 'About Thunderbird'.

4. If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it.

5. Once updated, look for a green checkmark indicating you’re secure.

Stay safe and make sure your software is up to date!
